Our Story
A Quiet Chapter in Missouri
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Missouri, every candle from The Cozy Candle Nook begins as a story waiting to be told.
There's no bustling factory or assembly line here, just a small workspace, stacks of books, a love of craftsmanship, and the belief that the right fragrance can transform an ordinary moment into something worth lingering over.
I'm Desiree, the maker behind the nook. Like many great adventures, this one started with a simple idea: combine my love of books, cozy spaces, and beautiful fragrances into something others could bring into their own homes. What began as a dream quickly became a collection of scents inspired by stories, history, mythology, and the quiet magic found in everyday life.
The Art Behind the Flame
Every candle is hand-poured in small batches using coconut wax and carefully selected fragrance oils. We chose coconut wax for its clean burn, beautiful scent throw, and ability to fill a room without overwhelming it, like a favorite passage that stays with you long after you've turned the page.
Working in small batches means every candle receives the attention it deserves. From measuring and pouring to curing and packaging, each step is done thoughtfully and intentionally. No shortcuts. No rushing the story.
Where Fragrance Meets Storytelling
At The Cozy Candle Nook, scent and story are inseparable.
Whether it's a mythology-inspired fragrance from our Linen & Lore collection, a literary favorite from A Summer in Verse, or a scent that captures the atmosphere of an old library, every candle begins with a mood, a memory, or a tale waiting to be explored.
We don't just create fragrances, we build worlds. We think about the character behind the scent, the setting it belongs in, and the feeling it should leave behind. Because a candle inspired by a legend should feel legendary, and a fragrance inspired by a beloved story should feel like stepping into its pages.
